Effigia Roundup

10:25 pm

In the week since Effigia hit the web, a lot of virtual ink has been devoted to this wonderful critter. Highlights include:

An article from the AMNH, with renderings of the skull and skeleton.

A charming, big-eyed restoration of the reptile by Sean Murtha for the New York Times.

And just today, a killer restoration in an article on the diversity of crocodiles and their relatives over at Olduvai George.

  1. The paper I had read had Effigia as a poposaur, which would mean that it was a crocodile in the loosest possible sense.

Repetition of a simple meme I guess.
